Project Overview
Skincare customers rarely buy based on packaging alone. They want to understand what a product does, whether it suits their skin, how it fits into a routine and what they should use alongside it.
Dermamage needed more than an attractive online store. It needed a digital experience capable of turning product interest into confidence.
We developed the brand’s Shopify presence around straightforward product education, routine-based shopping and a consistent visual language. Individual products remain easy to explore, while curated bundles help customers shop according to concerns such as brightness, hydration, oil balance and bridal preparation.
The current catalogue brings together seven individual skincare products and four targeted bundles, including Glow & Brightening, Hydration & Repair, Clear & Balance and Bridal Glow.
The challenge
Dermamage was entering a market filled with similar promises, technical ingredient language and heavily edited beauty advertising.
The challenge was to create a store that felt polished without becoming clinical, and persuasive without overwhelming customers with claims.
Every part of the experience had to answer practical questions:
- Which product is right for my concern?
- How should I use it?
- Which products work together?
- Can I build a complete routine?
- Why should I trust this brand?
What we built
A brand-led Shopify storefront
The store was shaped around Dermamage’s own identity rather than a standard skincare template.
Soft visual treatments, clear product imagery and structured content sections give the brand a professional presence while keeping the shopping journey approachable.
Concern-based product discovery
Customers can browse cleansers, serums, moisturising products, brightening care and sun protection according to what their skin needs.
The live range includes Vitamin C and niacinamide serums, brightening products, moisturising care, an oily-skin cleanser and a sebum-control sunblock.
Routine-driven skincare bundles
Instead of expecting customers to assemble a routine from scratch, Dermamage offers complete combinations built around specific skincare goals.
Each bundle presents the products as part of one connected regimen rather than unrelated items placed together for a discount.
Product pages that educate before they sell
Product pages were structured to explain benefits, suitability, usage and routine placement in a readable order.
This gives customers enough information to make a decision without forcing them through dense scientific copy or long blocks of text.
A clearer trust system
Customer reviews, brand benefits and reassurance points were placed throughout the journey rather than confined to a single page.
The live storefront currently shows an average verified rating of 4.73 from 37 customer reviews and highlights positioning around natural ingredients, dermatologist testing, hydration and brightening.
Mobile-first shopping
The experience was designed for customers discovering the brand through Instagram, Meta advertising, WhatsApp and creator content.
Product cards, offers, bundles and calls to action remain easy to understand on a smaller screen, where much of the brand’s traffic begins.
A reusable campaign system
The website was supported by a broader creative framework covering product launches, bundle promotions, dermatologist-led content, seasonal campaigns and skincare education.
Rather than producing isolated posts, the visual system was designed to keep product photography, social media, advertisements and Shopify campaigns recognisably part of the same brand.
Email and promotional experiences
Campaign assets were developed around individual concerns and routines, including hydration, glow, clear skin and bridal preparation.
These campaigns connected promotional offers with product education, helping the brand sell a complete skincare outcome rather than relying solely on price reductions.
Technical approach
The store was developed through Shopify theme customisation, reusable content sections, collection architecture and conversion-focused product templates.
Flexible sections allow the team to update banners, promotions, product benefits and campaign content without rebuilding the page each time.
The product and bundle structure was planned to support future launches while maintaining a consistent hierarchy across product pages, collections, email campaigns and social advertising.
The difficult part of the build
Beauty websites often look impressive in campaign images but lose consistency once customers begin moving through collection pages, product details and checkout.
For Dermamage, the work involved carrying one visual and commercial story across the entire journey.
Product proportions had to remain accurate. Labels needed to stay readable. Bundles had to feel distinct without becoming disconnected from the wider brand. The content also had to balance aspiration with enough practical information to support a purchase.
Outcome
Dermamage now has a more complete digital foundation for selling skincare online.
Customers can discover products by concern, understand how they fit into a routine and purchase complete bundles without piecing everything together themselves.
For the brand, the project created more than a storefront. It established a repeatable system for presenting products, launching campaigns and building trust across the website, email and social channels.
